This new buzzword in the presidential campaign is all over the place. I submit the following: “Change” in a democratic society does not happen at the ballot box until it happens inside of enough people. “Change” is always taking place in this culture and it is never brought about by any one single thing. I remember thinking when Bill Clinton became president that America as I knew it was going to quickly end. It did not. Many liberals have claimed that Bush 43 has done great damage to American culture - how so? So does this current presidental election really have any significant bearing on your or my daily life? Probably not. What does have an impact over the course of generations is the moral constraints of the people themselves. What really determines the course of the USA is the spiritual condition of the people. I believe that to a large degree, our elected officials are merely a reflection of us.
