Two New Posters…

Chad is my favorite “Postmodern” guy who has a lot of interesting thoughts about Christianity today. He has a unique perspective because he came to know Christ as an adult. He is also a great SIL.

Cliff is my favorite “Modern” guy. He also came to know Christ as an adult. His unique perspective comes from being my husband.

hi melody, it’s your good friend mike from outofur… :)

you know, if you really knew me, you’d love me. :) i’m not half as serious - but i’m actually twice as funny - as i seem in the comments sections here and there.

and i hope you know i only made the “vote” comment after everyone else had nominated you for sainthood in an earlier post at outofur.

i hope your strict black and white view of things doesn’t get painfully challenged by God like mine did. but i’m glad He did what He did; i’m much more at peace on this side of the trial.

keep commenting; i’ll do the same. never forget that you’ll have to live with me for all eternity.

because, of course, there’s no fiery hell… :)

Thanks Mike. I really like black and white. I’ve even decorated my house with those colors. As to the painful challenges from God, I’ve had my share and they have solidified my black/white issues more strongly than ever - along with considerable time reading the Bible.

One of the things about blogging that is vastly different from face to face conversation is that many of us write more stridently than we sound(?) Yet how else can we get a point across than just to tell it like we see it? Some bloggers go so far out of their way to appear inoffensive that one is left guessing what they think. That becomes quickly boring.

I’m not easily offended and obviously you aren’t either. I think a person who is has no business blogging.

I would never try to change your mind about hell. Hell isn’t my idea anyway. I just read the book.

    Happy day.

Mike - the funny thing is people ‘voted’ for me and I wasn’t running for anything. Who knows what I might get elected to? Probably some board chairmanship I don’t want.

    Oops…typo:

    >Hell isn’t my idea anyway. I just MISread the book.
